Encryption

By default HD Meeting encrypts in-meeting content at the application layer using TLS 1.2 with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256-bit algorithm between the desktop clients, mobile apps and the HD Meeting cloud.
Encryption can be enabled for H.323 and SIP devices joining HD Meetings. This setting can be configured at the account level, group, or user level. Once enabled, endpoints using HD Meeting Room Connector will use TLS 1.2 with AES 256 for SIP signaling, and AES 128 for media transmission for both SIP and H.323. Encryption will need to be enabled on these devices when joining your HD Meeting or they will receive an error and be unable to join.
Instructions
Enable or Disable H.323/SIP Endpoint Encryption
1. Sign into the HD Meeting web portal, or click your avatar on the top right of your desktop client and choose ‘My Profile’ menu option
2. Click Settings if you are a meeting host.
3. Click Account Settings if you are an account owner or an administrator.
Navigate to the Require Encryption for 3rd Party Endpoints (SIP/H323) setting under In Meeting (Basic) and click the toggle to enable or disable it.
Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level, and you will need to contact your HD Meeting Administrator.
