How can I add "9" before a number when trying to call from the caller id window?

When checking caller id, I would like to be able to call back a number. But, you have to add a 9 to call out. Is there a way to get this to happen without having to write the number down and redial?

    Hi chillckelli,

    The reason you need to dial nine is so that the system can distinguish that the number you are dialing is an outside number and not an extension.
